A reefer container requires constant power throughout the entire route, has a significantly higher operating cost, and depends on every port in transit keeping the cold chain active. MAXLINER is a passive insulated liner system: it does not require electricity and works as a multi-layer thermal barrier that stabilizes the container’s internal temperature regardless of external conditions. For bottled wine or bag-in-box shipments that do not require an exact temperature but do require thermal stability, MAXLINER is the most cost-efficient solution without compromising protection.

Yes. The materials used meet standards suitable for operations where cargo requires sanitary protection and traceability. If your importer or customer requires additional documentation, we can provide the relevant technical background and applicable certifications at the quotation stage.

MAXLINER reduces internal temperature variation by up to 15°C compared to the outside of the container. On high-insolation routes such as the Panama Canal crossing or Pacific routes, where outside temperatures can exceed 45°C, the inside of the container remains within safe ranges for wine. The installation covers the walls, ceiling, and floor with 16 layers of aluminum and insulating materials that act as a complete thermal barrier from the moment of loading.

Yes. We coordinate winery pickup from Chile’s main wine-producing valleys: Maipo, Colchagua, Casablanca, Maule, Cachapoal, and Elqui. Our service includes inland transport from your winery to the port of shipment, plus MAXLINER installation before loading. One team, one price, no separate coordination required.

To export Chilean wine, you need at a minimum: a commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, SAG phytosanitary certificate, and the Bill of Lading. Depending on the destination, additional documents may be required, such as an enological analysis certificate or labels approved by the importing country’s regulator. Newcomex manages and coordinates all customs documentation as part of the service — you do not have to handle it yourself.

Estimated transit times from San Antonio or Valparaíso are approximately as follows: United Kingdom and the Netherlands, between 23 and 28 days; U.S. East Coast, between 18 and 22 days; China, between 28 and 35 days; Brazil, between 10 and 14 days; Germany, between 25 and 30 days. These timelines depend on the shipping line and routing. In your quote, we provide the actual estimated transit time for your shipment, not a generic range.
